KidGlov Advertising Agency Podcast Hosts CyncHealth CEO, Jaime Bland

Jaime Bland, DNP, RN, CEO of CyncHealth

Jaime Bland, DNP, RN, CEO of CyncHealthKidGlov, a boutique, full-service advertising, branding and content marketing agency based out of Lincoln and Omaha, Neb., recently welcomed Jaime Bland, DNP, RN, CEO of CyncHealth, to its podcast, Agency for Change. The episode explored CyncHealth’s work using the power of data to enable care teams to work together for better health outcomes, lower costs and thriving communities.

“Most health providers don’t talk to each other. Luckily, CyncHealth is working on a number of powerful tools that allow providers to collaborate, access data analytics, monitor prescriptions and more. It’s important work and it was a pleasure to sit down with Jaime to learn more about how this group is changing healthcare for the better,” said Lisa Bowen, KidGlov vice president managing director and host of the Agency for Change podcast.

CyncHealth is the designated health information exchange (HIE) for Nebraska and western Iowa, connecting over five million lives and 1,135 facilities and counting. These cross-connections are community-wide, consisting of hospitals, specialty hospitals, rural health clinics, specialty clinics, long-term post-acute care facilities, and other entities that have valuable data for monitoring the health of populations. CyncHealth participating clinicians can better care for patients by having instant access to comprehensive and longitudinal health history, including patient encounter-level reports, diagnostic history, allergies, immunizations, and laboratory results from participating facilities.

On the Agency for Change podcast, Bland discusses how CyncHealth, formerly Nebraska Health Information Initiative, grew out of a need in the healthcare community to come together for better service and how they’ve become a national leader in health information exchange.

“The health information exchange was started by the local Omaha hospitals recognizing that to serve people, they needed to share data despite being competitive,” said Bland, “I think where we’re really different is that we have a number of clinicians involved in the technology components. The infrastructure that we built is really targeted towards people, providers, and needs of the public.”
