KidGlov Advertising Agency Podcast Hosts Omaha Steaks’ Angie Kubicek
KidGlov, a boutique marketing and advertising agency based out of Lincoln and Omaha, Neb., recently welcomed Angie Kubicek, director of growth marketing at Omaha Steaks to a recent episode of their podcast, Agency for Change. The episode explores how this iconic Nebraska brand has connected with customers and the community for more than a century.
“It was fantastic to sit down with Angie,” said Lyn Wineman, host of the Agency for Change podcast and president and chief strategist at KidGlov. “Omaha Steaks is such a well-known brand in Nebraska. Beyond sirloins, this organization is continuously evolving to support customers and community needs.”
Omaha Steaks began as a small-scale butcher shop in downtown Omaha more than one hundred years ago. This Nebraska-based, family-owned organization markets and distributes a wide variety of the finest quality USDA-approved, grain-fed beef and other gourmet foods through online ordering and over 50 retail locations.
Community involvement is an important aspect of the Omaha Steaks culture. The company has a history of supporting food security through long-standing relationships with food banks, and partnerships with national organizations to provide food to those during national disasters and during the pandemic. The Organization recently announced a partnership with Feeding America to help provide 500,000 meals to families in need.
Angie Kubicek, director of growth marketing at Omaha Steaks, was recently named the 2020 Marketer of the Year by the American Marketing Association of Lincoln. Her work at Omaha Steaks uses an omni-channel approach to marketing with roots in teleservices and mailing but with innovative channels ranging from direct response to social media and mobile apps.
